CT Weather: Snow Accumulation Estimates Rise For Saturday
Snow accumulation estimates have been released by the National Weather Service for an upcoming 2-day storm.
CONNECTICUT — It looks like snow accumulation estimates are rising for Saturday's storm.
A general 2 to 6 inches of snow and ice is forecast beginning Saturday afternoon before changing over to plain rain by early Sunday.
Sunday will feature plain rain throughout the day. The lowest snow totals are predicted at the coast, 2 to 5 inches, and inland sections of southern Connecticut and northern Connecticut could see 2 to 6 inches of snow and ice, according to the National Weather Service.

Up to an inch of rain is possible on Sunday.

I-95 towns in southern Connecticut:
Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 32. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Saturday Night: Snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 1am, then rain. Temperature rising to around 35 by 2am. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
