Powerful Storm Closes Roads, Power Outages Reported In CT: New Details Released
Several state and local roads across Connecticut remain closed on Monday. Here are the latest updates.

CONNECTICUT — What a storm. Parts of Connecticut received in excess of five inches of rain, and several state and local roads are closed across the state.
The good news is that the precipitation has either ended or will be soon, but temperatures are free-falling and will remain cold through Thursday, but then we warm up once again to near 50 degrees on Friday and for the upcoming weekend. No rain or snow is in the forecast through Sunday.
"The heaviest rain fell along parts of the shoreline, and Eastern CT," said WFSB 3 TV Meteorologist Melissa Cole. "Milford topped out with just over 5″ of rain. Currently, there is a River Flood Warning for the Yantic River, where moderate flooding is occurring. The larger rivers, like the Connecticut and Housatonic, will be rising from now through mid week. We will be monitoring for minor flooding, and additional warnings from the National Weather Service.
While most of the precip was in the form of rain, some snow did mix in in some of our hill towns in NW CT." (Read/watch more at WFSB 3 TV).
