CT Weather: Thunderstorms Develop Wednesday, More Storms Ahead Too
It's a very unsettled and hot and humid weather forecast for Connecticut. Here are all the new details.
CONNECTICUT — Thunderstorms and rain are forecast for Wednesday afternoon and evening and it also looks like the weekend will feature both rain and more storms, according to the latest weather forecast updates.
"Today, we’ll end July unsettled with a First Alert as downpours and storms could impact outdoor plans," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Initially, there’s a morning round (in association with a warm front); followed by a lull, then an afternoon/evening round (as a cold front approaches). All in, we can expect 0.5-1.0″ of rain with locally higher amounts (especially where thunderstorms develop)."
The best chance for thunderstorms is after 2 p.m. and up until 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

"Tomorrow is mostly sunny --- albeit smoky sunshine, thank to Canadian wildfires," WFSB 3 TV forecasters said. "Otherwise, we start August hot and muggy (there will be just a slight and brief downturn in humidity) with temps that top out between 90 and 95. Friday, the high humidity returns and we’ll run the risk for an afternoon or evening shower/storm. Temps again will be quite warm, as they reach near or above 90! Factoring in dew point values in the 70s, heat index values could reach between 95 and 100!
