The chance for rain and thunderstorms increases later in the day Tuesday, according to meteorologists.
“Here’s some good news: that rain is now looking to be a bit more substantial than previously thought,” WFSB reports. “A few rumbles of thunder will even be possible! We need the rain, and we’ll take what we can get.”
The expected wet weather will continue into early Wednesday, followed by partly-sunny to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-70s, according to WFSB and the National Weather Service.
More rain on Thursday, Friday
Rain is predicted again for Thursday, particularly later in the day, according to WFSB, and showers are also expected on Friday, with muggy conditions.

After highs reach up into the low 80s on Tuesday, high temperatures for the rest of the work week will reach into the 70s during the daytime through Friday, according to meteorologists. Nighttime temperatures will dip into the upper 50s to low 60s.
