CONNECTICUT — Our weather over the next several days can best be summed up in one word: unsettled.

It looks like we'll be dodging rain showers and frequent temperatures shifts for the next several days.

We could see rain Friday night, early Saturday, Sunday, Sunday night, Monday, and Monday night, but it doesn't mean it will be a complete washout during this time period.

"A warm front that approaches today will stall across Southern New England this weekend," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Where it stalls and how it eventually moves relative to CT will dictate how warm/cool, also how unsettled it will be over the 2-day period. As of now, any showers from tonight should end by daybreak tomorrow. While the rain ends, cloud cover may not entirely clear out... if it lingers, this won’t bode well for viewing of a partial solar eclipse that will be ongoing at sunrise!"

"....Tomorrow night, the boundary begins to sag southward which increases our chances for showers. By Sunday, the front is to our south putting CT on its cool side. Because of this, temperatures only reach the lower 50s. Furthermore, there will be a higher likelihood for some showers (but it shouldn’t be a washout); otherwise, we’re mostly cloudy," added WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.

Next week forecast details

"The final day of March looks to feature sun and clouds, also a return of milder air (briefly) as temps head well into the 60s Monday afternoon," added WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Later in the day, and at night, we expect a more substantial round of rain in association with a cold front. Behind the front Tuesday, we’ll trend brighter and cooler (seasonably so) as we kick off the month of April. Wednesday is dry, but cloud cover will increase in advance of a storm system that brings the chance for rain to the state Thursday." (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
