EPOCH Senior Living Raises More than $46,000 to Fight Alzheimer's Disease

Team members at 12 EPOCH locations raised funds during October walks and events

Waltham, MA - November 7, 2025 - EPOCH Senior Living team members at 12 locations in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts raised more than $46,000 for various organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association and Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod.

Whether it was hosting special fundraising events or participating in The Walk to End Alzheimer’s throughout October, Bridges ® by EPOCH and Waterstone communities came together with team members, residents and families to support the Alzheimer’s Association and other organizations in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

“All of our teams at EPOCH know firsthand the toll that Alzheimer’s disease takes on our residents and their families,’’ said Laurie Gerber, Chairperson of EPOCH Senior Living. “I am proud of the enthusiasm our communities have shown in supporting these organizations as they fund research towards a cure and help families who are struggling with this disease.”

In addition to team members and residents participating in these walks, the senior living communities of EPOCH hosted a variety of fundraising events to contribute to Alzheimer’s research in fun and engaging ways. Bridges ® by EPOCH at Norwalk held a Paint the Night Purple event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, which featured live music, food, and a silent auction. In addition, Waterstone at High Ridge in Stamford held an event that sold resident-made crafts, like bracelets. This activity not only helped residents with cognitive stimulation, motor skills, and emotional well-being, but also got the residents involved in the fundraising activities. Other Connecticut locations participating in the fundraisers included Bridges ® by EPOCH at Trumbull.

Currently, over 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, with 1-3 older adults dying of Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. EPOCH Senior Living has been recognized by Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ accreditation for their excellence in caring for people living with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias.
