GOP Candidates For 78th District State Rep. Seat Trade Views At Debate

Joe Hoxha and Aileen Abrams debated one another at the Plymouth Town Hall Friday night as both vie to become the new 78th District state representative as a member of the Republican Party.

The seat, long held by State Representative Whit Betts, will be opening up and voters will decide who next fills a space that’s been held by Republicans for several years.
Candidates were asked how they felt about recent state discussions regarding gun legislation, mental health, unfunded mandates facing police and more during the event.

Hoxha swore that should he not win convention support he would not run in a primary while Abrams did not make the same promise.
Abrams is a marketing director and Hoxha is a financial executive.
