“Haley was more than a student; she was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece whose kindness and light touched everyone who knew her. Her smile could brighten any room, and her compassion for others was beyond her years. She had big dreams, a huge heart, and a future that was filled with promise,” her obituary says.

Foran was involved in many activities in school, including the Golf Club, National Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society. She had been learning to drive and loved working at the Nutmeg Fudge Company in Torrington, which sells sweets and hosts parties, her obituary shows.

Foran’s cause of death was still under investigation as of Friday, according to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
