Pedestrian Struck By SUV Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries: State PD

STERLING, CT — A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a Ford Explorer on Tuesday afternoon, state police said.

Just after 12 p.m., state police responded to a one-car motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the area of Plainfield Pike in Sterling.

The vehicle driven by a Sterling resident was traveling eastbound on Plainfield Pike and the pedestrian attempted to cross the road and was hit by the Ford Explorer, state police said.
