Hollowed Harvest, operated by BOLD Media, will feature numerous Jack-o'-lantern scenes at the camp at 221 Mt. Tobe Road, with some of them standing two stories tall and spanning 50 feet in length. It will take about 35 to 40 minutes to walk through a half-mile walking trail, which will include a Tiki scene, a Titanic scene and totem poles made entirely of Jack-o'-lanterns. Food and beverage options will also be available.
Matthew Glaser, CEO of BOLD Media, said after a successful showing in New York, he is excited to expand into the Greater Hartford area and bring the “magic of Halloween” to more people.”

“The Hollowed Harvest brings to life many of Halloween’s beloved tales that are sure to amaze audiences of all ages,” he said.
Glaser said he wanted to create an attraction which was accessible to as many people as possible, especially families and young children.
“There is a lot going on for Halloween that isn’t geared toward young kids, but this is designed for families in mind,” he said. “It doesn’t have any loud, screaming horror portions. There’s nothing scary at all. It’s all beautiful, unique pumpkin carvings and a lot of fun. Where we’ve held this in the past, it has become a fall tradition for many. I fully expect that to be the case here as well.”
After the opening day, Hollowed Harvest will remain open Thursday through Sunday through Aug. 31.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at hollowedharvest.com. Admission is free for children under 3 years old. Time slots are available on a first-come, first served basis.
