Scholastic Baseball Teams Set For State Competition On The Diamond

CONNECTICUT — The high school baseball regular season schedule has concluded, setting the stage for the wild and woolly two weeks of competition found in the CIAC state tournaments.

A total of 39 teams from schools in Hartford and Tolland counties will be among the nearly 130 who will take part in the four tournaments. As usual, the exciting action culminates at Palmer Field in Middletown, site of the championship games on June 7 and 8.

Qualifying games will be played Saturday; first-round action begins Tuesday.
