Tornado Confirmed In CT: Here's What You Need To Know
The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado did touch down in Connecticut this past weekend.

CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado did touch down in Connecticut on Saturday.
In a news release on Tuesday, the weather service said a "weak tornado was confirmed in Roxbury, Connecticut."
The peak wind gusts were 80 mph and the tornado traveled 0.80 miles. No injuries were reported.

The tornado touched down at 9 p.m. in Roxbury.
Here's what the weather service said regarding the tornado: "The National Weather Service in Albany, NY surveyed damage in Roxbury, Connecticut along Town Line Road and Minor Bridge Road. NWS staff also met with eyewitnesses, a farm manager and a drone pilot who overflew the area. Eyewitnesses provided video and photographs of the tornado as well as geographic locations and movement. The drone pilot confirmed that little damage occurred along the path or to nearby areas. Damage consisted of large limbs broken off two trees as most of the path was over open fields. The tornado started along Minor Bridge Road and moved northwest and uphill before ending near Town Line Road."
