Avon Already In Budget Mode For 2026-27
Several town departments will give budget presentations to the Avon Town Council tonight.

AVON, CT — Now that municipal elections are over, Avon is already starting its budget process for 2026-27.
How soon? It starts tonight (Thursday, Nov. 6).
Capital budget presentations for the 2026-27 budget that will take effect on July 1, 2026, will be held in the selectmen's chamber at the Avon Town Hall, 60 W. Main St., as well as virtually.

They will take place during the town council regular meetings on Thursday, Nov. 6, and Thursday, Dec. 4.
Meeting start times will be 7 p.m., and the presentations typically fall at the beginning of the meeting agenda.

The following departments will be presenting:
• Thursday, Nov. 6, Board of Education, Police Department, Fire Department
General Government
• Thursday, Dec. 4, Recreation and Parks, Engineering, and Public Works
"We encourage you to visit the town's website often to access documents related to the budget process, by clicking on 'Annual Budget' under the Quick Links on the home page," wrote the town.
"These documents shall be posted in late January, and will be updated in March, and again in May as we move through the budget process."
