Avon Preschool Applicants Sought For Next School Year

AVON, CT — The Avon School System is currently accepting applications for its preschool program lottery for the 2026-27 school year.

The registration period started Dec. 12, and it will continue through Jan. 16, 2026.

Parents of 3- and 4-year-old children next year can apply for the classes, which are at the Avon Early Learning Center at Roaring Brook School.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be fully toilet-trained.

• Must be an Avon resident.

• Exhibit age-appropriate language, play, and social skills.

• Must be 3 years old by Sept. 1, 2026, to enroll in the 3-year-old program.

• Must be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 202,6 to enroll in the 4-year-old program.

The application deadline is Jan. 16, 2026, at 4 p.m., with notifications sent the week of Jan. 19, 2026, regarding application status.
