Avon's Aug. 13 Primary Vote: What You Need To Know

AVON, CT — Election Day is in November, but before that potentially historic day, local Republican voters have some work to do on Aug. 13 as the ballot needs to be finalized via primaries.

Throughout Connecticut, Republicans will be deciding the GOP senatorial hopeful looking to unseat U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn.

In that primary race, Gerry Smith is taking on Matthew M. Corey for the right to oppose the incumbent.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, three local polling places in Avon will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the GOP primary.

Meanwhile, early voting is available Aug. 5-11 at Avon Town Hall, 60 W. Main St., Avon.
