While the Hub Bar and Grille may have closed its door, Cindy Johns has brought her pizza and other culinary skills to Year Roundz Sports Bar and Grill at Canton Indoor Golf Center.
After six and a half years owning the Hub on Route 44, Johns, of Avon, closed the 192 Albany Turnpike business after St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Canton Indoor Golf Center, located in Canton Village, was already ordering her pizzas for its Glow Cove birthday parties and has now brought on Johns as a chef. She will continue to make pizza as well as other dishes on the Year Roundz Menu.
"We're very happy to have her," said Indoor Golf Center owner Chris Maher.
Johns, who worked for 20 years in the banking industry before opening her restaurant, said she's happy to remain in the business but be able to work fewer hours. She also thinks the golf center is a great place, with a great restaurant that would appeal to anyone, not just golfers.
"This is an awesome facility," she said.
