Teri was born in Levittown, NY on April 11, 1955 daughter of the late Michael and Phyllis Montagna Glowacky. From an early age, she was active and driven, participating in the 4-H community and excelling as a multi-sport athlete. She pursued her passion for education at Central Connecticut State University, where she studied education before beginning a career as a physical education teacher for children with special needs. Her dedication and impact were widely recognized. In 1980, Teri was named one of Connecticut's Leading Young Women for her work at the Bridgeport Regional Center School for Retarded and Handicapped Children and for organizing the Cerebral Palsy Junior Olympics in New Haven. In 1982, she helped coach U.S.A. swimmers who earned medals at the International Cerebral Palsy Games in Denmark. Teri and her husband raised their family in Westport, Connecticut where she was deeply involved in the community through school activities, church, and her children's athletic teams. In her leisure time, Teri created beautiful, hand sewn, custom quilts which she gifted to scores of family members and friends. In later years, the couple relocated to West Haven, where Teri embraced her love of the beach and proudly became a bocce champion. Teri will be remembered for her compassion, energy and unwavering commitment to her family and community.
