Driver Hits Bicyclist on Old Wheeler Lane in Avon

A driver struck a bicyclist while making a turn from Lovely Street to Old Wheeler Lane just before 7:15 a.m. on April 24, police said. 

The driver was traveling south on Lovely Street (Route 177) toward Farmington and collided head on with a cyclist heading toward Canton while attempting to turn left, police said.

The bicyclist went to an area hospital and came by the police department the next day to pick up the bike, police said.
