Avon officials recently informed residents about what they can do to properly dispose of their natural Christmas trees this year.

According to the town, the Avon Department of Public Works will pick up Christmas trees during the period through Jan. 30.

Residents are simply asked to leave their trees curbside.

There is no established schedule by street. Multiple, random passes will be made throughout the town through Jan. 30.

Avon has been collecting trees since last Friday, Jan. 2.
