Some Avon Offices To Be Closed Later This Week
A planned boiler replacement will impact Avon offices located at Avon Town Hall's Building No. 1.

AVON, CT — Residents are advised that several town offices located in Avon Town Hall Building No. 1 will be closed due to a planned boiler replacement on Thursday, Jan.8, and Friday, Jan. 9.
As a result, the following departments will be impacted:

- Avon Town Manager’s Office: Staff will be working remotely and from Avon Town Hall Building No. 2.

If a call goes to voicemail, leave a message, and it will be returned.

In-person assistance is available from staff in Building No. 2, and staff may also be contacted via email.
- Registrar of Voters: Staff will be available by phone at 860-409-4350 and email at rov@avonct.gov on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"Please note that the registrar’s office is closed on Fridays. In-person assistance is available at any time from staff in Building No. 2," wrote the town.
- Youth Services: Staff will be working from the Avon Department of Social Services, located in Town Hall Building No. 5, second floor. The phone number for social services is 860-409-4346.
The Avon Town Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. will be held at the Avon Senior Center Community Room (635 West Avon Road) and virtually.
