Limited Free Food Offered To Celebrate Opening Of New Avon Eatery

The new eatery will be offering free food and limited-edition T-shirts to the first 50 guests in line, officials said.

AVON, CT — Playa Bowls, specializing in bowls such as acai and pitaya, oatmeal, chia, smoothies, juices, cold brew and more, announced the opening of the brand’s newest location on Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m.

The Avon shop marks the fifth Playa Bowls location in Connecticut. Located at 380 West Main Street, the new shop will be offering free bowls and limited-edition T-shirts to the first 50 guests in line, along with other swag and entertainment provided throughout the day.

The Avon shop is owned and operated by franchise owners Mitch Jackson and Mike Bogdan. Now with two existing shops in West Hartford and Glastonbury, the multi-unit operators saw an opportunity to grow their passion for the nutritious superfruit bowl concept and expand Playa Bowls’ footprint in Connecticut, according to a news release from the company.
