Listen To Funny Job Stories Courtesy Of Avon Theater Group
Playhouse 44 later this month is hosting a special storytelling program in which performers will tell stories about unusual job experiences.

AVON, CT — The art of storytelling, which has blossomed across the country and is popularized by radio programs like The Moth Radio Hour is coming to Avon.
Called "It's Only a Job," the program is another event hosted by Avon-based Playhouse 44, a community theater group formed last year.

The unique event will take place Monday, Oct. 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Avon Congregational Church, 6 W. Main St., Avon, inside the fellowship hall. Registration for the program, however, is ongoing.
"Guests will be able to hear an engaging group of local storytellers as they share true tales of on-the-job griefs and glories, follies and frustrations, miracles and miseries," wrote Playhouse 44 in an announcement.

The theme, "It's Only a Job," is the source for an intriguing array of true, surprising, and fun stories.
Admission is free, but an optional donation may be made to assist Playhouse 44 for its future events and productions.

Playhouse 44 will also be collecting toiletries and nonperishable food on the night of the event to donate to local organizations that help individuals and families in need.
