Memorial Service for Capt. Andrew Pedersen-Keel – AOF Graduate – Scheduled for Monday

The 2002 Avon Old Farms School graduate, known to his classmates as P-K, was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan on March 11, 2013.

A memorial service will be held Monday in Guilford for a fallen soldier who was a 2002 graduate of Avon Old Farms School, according to officials at Madison Town Hall.

U.S. Army Capt. Andrew Pedersen-Keel, known to the Avon Old Farms community as P-K, was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan on March 11.

The memorial service for Pedersen-Keel, 28, starts at 11 a.m. March 25 at St. George Catholic Church at 33 Whitfield Street in Guilford.

Avon Old Farms School Headmaster Kenneth LaRocque wrote to Patch in an email that he plans on attending the memorial service with Dean Kevin Driscoll, who was Pedersen-Keel's football coach in Avon. They both plan on going to the burial ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, he said.

Kevin Driscoll and I will be at the funeral in Madison on Monday and at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday for the burial.

Flags have been flying at half-staff in Madison and at Avon Old Farms School in honor of Capt. Pedersen-Keel.
