Voting Now Underway For 2025 'Avon Shines' Holiday Decorating Contest

AVON, CT — The level of holiday spirit among Avon's shop owners is officially up for grabs, with folks urged to go out and fill out their ballots for the third annual "Avon Shines" contest.

The Avon Town Council asked business owners to email them a notice of their participation in what is a major business holiday decoration contest.

As a result, participants are on a special map distributed by the town for window shoppers to enjoy.

With the map set and the displays ready, the next key step — voting — is underway.

"The poll is now open," wrote the Town of Avon. "Vote for your favorite holiday decoration display and decide who wins the coveted Avon Shines trophy for the next year."

The online poll will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, with participants asked to vote only once.
