Popular Avon Pasta Restaurant Moving To New Site

The Avon Planning and Zoning Commission earlier this month approved the necessary permits for the move.

AVON, CT — A popular pasta restaurant in town is moving to a new location following town planning and zoning commission approval earlier this month.

As a result, the New England Pasta Co.'s Beanz & Co. pasta eatery will soon move from 300 W. Main St. to 1 E. Mai St. in town.

The Avon Planning and Zoning Commission June 12 gave unanimous approval for special exemptions and site plan reviews for the move.

New England Pasta representative Kim Morrison is the listed applicant who went before the PZC.

She said the plan is to move the pasta place to Old Avon Village, where the restaurant can serve 46 patrons for dine-in in addition to a popular take-out operation.

Aside from questions on parking at the location, which seemed to be addressed, PZC members did not have any significant concerns about the move.

Morrison told the PZC she would like to begin the move sometime in early July.

No members of the public commented on the proposal and the hearing was closed, leading to subsequent PZC approval later.
