VFW Post 3272 Presents "Project HEAL”
VFW Post 3272 invites all military veterans to attend its October 26th meeting featuring a program entitled "Project HEAL."

From the Avon VFW:
AVON, CT - The Avon VFW Post 3272 invites all military veterans to attend their monthly dinner meeting on Wednesday, October 26th to hear a presentation by Dale and Lu Picard, founders and directors of ECAD, Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities organization.
Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities (ECAD) program “Project HEAL” is designed to meet the needs of Veterans living with physical injuries, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). ECAD, founded in 1995, is currently consolidating and expanding their training facility campus in Torrington, Connecticut to better provide the benefits of the human-canine bond as it fulfills its mission. Like the proverbial stone thrown into the water, the IMPACT of ECAD’s dedication continues to extend out, touching more and more lives. The Picards, along with Tuna (their educated golden retriever), will introduce their mission statement “to educate and place Service Dogs with people with disabilities to lead lives with more independence and mobility.”
