Where To See Santa In Avon This Holiday Season

AVON, CT — Visits and pictures with Santa Claus are treasured traditions for many Avon families.

In Avon, kids have several chances to see jolly old St. Nick in person.

• A Children’s Festival with Santa & Mrs. Claus — Avon Congregational Church. Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will share stories, lead sing-a-longs, and pose with children for pictures. Also, games with elves, cookie decorating, crafts, snacks, and hot cocoa. Children $15, adults $10. The event is at the Historic Meetinghouse of Avon Congregational Church,6 W. Main St., Avon. • Free Community Breakfast With Santa — Memorial United Methodist Church, 867 West Avon Road, Avon. Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall and church rooms. The event will feature a free pancake breakfast, photos with Santa (bring your own camera), along with crafts, cookie decorating, games, and a scavenger hunt. There is no fee to participate, but the church encourages non-perishable food donations to support its 24/7 community food pantry.
