A Good Day To Shop At Berlin's Good Cause Gifts

A portion of the days sales will go directly to the Joseph Manzi Foundation.

 

The Manzi Foundation invites residents to a shopping extravaganza today, Thursday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Good Cause Gifts at 150 Mill Street.

Shop between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and mention the Joseph Manzi Foundation and a portion of the sales for the day will go directly to the Foundation.

Good Cause has a wide selection of holiday gifts including: jewelry, scarves, handbags, children's toys, holiday home goods, specialty foods and even teacher and coach gifts. Gift wrapping is included with each purchase.

Good Cause Gifts is a nonprofit gifts and accessories store located in Berlin. The shop is funded by Futures, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to special education. The gift shop employs individuals with disabilities from the southeastern Connecticut community.

Joseph Manzi Foundation is in memory of Joe Manzi, a 1998 graduate of Berlin High School, who was killed in a snowmobile accident in December of 2002. He was an avid musician and a member of the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department.

The Foundation supports local charitable organizations and persons in need.

The Foundation also donates supplies to the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department. It keeps Joe's memory alive, and in doing so, is helping other people.
