B team Bears Win Third Straight Game
Locals are able to edge Bloomfield for victory and improve to 4-1.

The Berlin Bears B1 team pulled off its third consecutive win Sunday against the Bloomfield Raiders.

The Bears jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter to make the game 8-0. The drive was capped off with a 40-yard pass from Sam Capodice to Pat Ladas. Giancarlo Tufano split the up rights with the point after attempt.
From there the well ran dry until the Raiders scored in the third to make the game 8-6. In the fourth the Bears were able to march down the field and Ladas again punched one in from 5 yards out. The Raiders were able to put six more on the board but were held short on their point after attempt. The final score was Berlin 14, Bloomfield 12, making the Bears record 4-1.

The Bears defense played tough all game with notable play from Malachi Burby, Dominic Lattarulo, Matt Wojciechowski, Kevin Stafstrom, James Mazzarella, Pat Ladas, and Ryan Terlecky.
