Berlin Bears C2 Battle To End

But locals fall to East Hampton 12-7 in defensive battle.

The Berlin Bears C2 team opened up their season in a defensive battle which went down to the wire. In the end The Bears fell short and lost by a score of 12-7 to the East Hampton Hawks.

Berlin's only score came in the first quarter when Justin Piskorski and Nick Melville marched the ball up the field for 20 yards each. The drive culminated with a Nate Capodice quarterback keeper for 40 yards. Melville punched in the extra point.

Berlin's stingy defense was bolstered by Aiden Cote when he led his Bears to a goal line stance to end the first half. Cote finished the game with 4 Sacks.

Also turning in solid defensive performances were Nick Jutras, Vinny Defrancesco, and Bhrett Williams and Sam D'Addabbo.

Berlin C2's next game will be next Sunday, September 23 at Sage Park.

The A through D teams struggled and were swept in all four games by Glastonbury at Glastonbury High School.
