Berlin High Volleyball Team Finding Its Way
Victory over Platt improves Redcoats' record to 3-2.

The Berlin volleyball team is now 3-2 after wins over Platt and Bulkeley
"In the Platt game (25-23, 25-22, 25-17) the girls played very hard," Berlin coach Bob Tarigo said. "Handeling Platt in the back row on defense was led by Giorgia Rossetto with 16 serve receptons and 21 digs followed by Amanda Paterson with five receptons and six digs."

Kristina Hagmeier added 11 digs for Berlin, Domininika Wejda had nine digs Kailene Rampone and Tess Repaci had six digs each and Gabrielle St. Jarre totaled five digs.
"We had a total of 70 digs on the night which is a great job," Tarigo said. "The defense led to our play at the net With Alicia Maule getting 23 assists. Giorgia Rossetto had 15 kills, Kailene Rampone had four kills, Dominika Wejda, Tess Repaci and Gabrielle St. Jarre all had three kills. Olivia Dellaquilla went 14-for-14 serving with eight service points

"This is the first win over Platt as long as I can remember and it could be a big sign for Berlin for state qualifications," Tarigo said.
Berlin also easily defeated Bulkeley, 25-10, 25-5, 25-20.
"We served real well going 76-for-79, led by Olivia Dellaquilla who was 15-for-15 with 8 service points and five aces," Tarigo said. "Alicia Maule was 11-for-11 with two service points and an ace."
At the net Giorgia Rossetto had 11 kills while Kailene Rampone added five, Dominika Wejda and Gabrielle St. Jarre each added four kills. Alicia Maule had 11 Assists
Berlin plays at home Friday against Maloney 4:30 p.m. JV and freshmen followed by Varsity 6 p.m.
