Berlin Track Relay Team Qualifies For Nationals
The 4x800m relay team qualified for the New Balance Outdoor National Championship meet.

Berlin High School Girls 4x800m Relay team qualified for the New Balance Outdoor National Championship meet.
The girls ran a new school record time of 9:40.74.
They lowered the time by almost 21 seconds. The prior record set in 2006 was 10:01.74.
The team was led by Catherine Voelpel who ran a 2:21 800m split. Sophomore Kristen Madeia added in a split of 2:24. The second half of the team was made up of two freshman. Jodi DiCioccio ran a season best 2:29 while freshman Michelle Grieco anchored with a 2:24.
"The girls really feed off of Cat's performance and running her first set the tone for the rest of the race," said Berlin coach Steve Soucy. "Having two freshman and a sophomore on the team makes Cat's influence that much more important."
The Nationals will be held in Greensboro North Carolina on June 13 and 14.
