In Memoriam: Elizabeth 'Betty' Anderson

The Kensington resident passed away Dec. 17 at the age of 84.

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Byrnes) Anderson, 84, of Kensington, wife of Richard G. Anderson, former Vice President of Berlin Savings Bank (now Webster Bank), passed away Thursday (December 17, 2015) at her home.

A graduate of Windsor Locks High School, Class of 1949, where she was Valedictorian, and lived in Kensington since 1958. Betty was a member of St. Paul Church in Kensington and was a member of the Shuttle Meadow Country Club 9 Holers Group. She volunteered at the St. Paul School Library for 24 years.

Besides her husband Richard, she leaves a brother-in-law, Gene Anderson of Bokelia, FL; a sister-in-law, Marguerite Pepin of New Britain; two nieces and two nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church, Alling Street, Kensington. Burial will follow in West Lane Cemetery, Kensington. Calling hours are Monday morning 9:30 to 11 AM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul School, 461 Alling Street, Kensington, CT 06037.

Betty’s family extends special thanks to the nurses and caregivers of VITAS Hospice as well as to her Euro American Caregivers, Anna, Abby, Irina and Wioletta.
