In Memoriam: Pamela 'Beba' Baczewski

The Kensington resident passed away Dec. 18 at the age of 57.

Pamela ‘Beba’ Eve (Prestash) Baczewski, 57, of Kensington, loving wife of Michael J. Baczewski, passed away early Friday morning (December 18, 2015) at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain, with her family at her side.

Born in New Britain, daughter of Emrick and the late Lovey (Waida) Prestash, she graduated from New Britain High School, received her B.A. in Fine Arts from Central Connecticut State University, and was most recently employed for the last 18 years in the Berlin Public Schools. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, and an accomplished artist and gardener who loved the outdoors.

In addition to her husband and her father, she is survived by a son, Michael E. Z. Baczewski of Kensington, four sisters, Andrea Tolomea and her husband John of Berlin, Linda Kohl and her husband Frank of Southington, Donna Raineault and her husband Douglas of Middletown, and Debbie Gerardi and her companion Charles Barbero of New Britain, six nieces, eight nephews, sixteen grandnieces and grand nephews, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter’s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, on Tuesday morning (December 22, 2015) from 10 am until noon. A reception at the Baltic Restaurant on New Britain Road in Berlin will follow the calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
