Powerball Jackpot Hits $400 Million; Largest Since February 2015
Hitting the $400 million jackpot would be quite a way to start the new year. Here's where to buy your ticket in Berlin.

The largest Powerball jackpot in nearly a year is up for grabs.
Wednesday’s drawing will be for an estimated $400 million jackpot; it’s the largest jackpot since a $564.1 million jackpot was hit on Feb. 11, 2015.

The cash option payout for Wednesday’s drawing is estimated at $244.8 million.
According to Wikipedia, a jackpot of $254.2 million was won in November 2011, and the life-changing ticket was sold in Fairfield County. Three men from Greenwich claimed the ticket, which was the largest prize in Connecticut Lottery history, according to the Time Magazine article.

The Powerball drawings are done every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. on WCCT-TV. To view Powerball drawings after they have aired, please CLICK HERE.
According to Wikipedia, if it’s won, Wednesday’s jackpot would be the sixth highest Powerball jackpot struck.
Tickets for Wednesday’s drawing can be purchased until 10 p.m. Wednesday at any Connecticut Lottery retailer. The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. Wednesday. If there isn’t a winner, the next drawing (with a higher jackpot, by the way) will be Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
