Swimming Season In Berlin, What You Need To Know

The town's lone public swimming pool opens to the public Saturday, June 14, with swim class registration starting Monday, June 16.

BERLIN, CT — Swimming season officially opens in Berlin on Saturday, June 14, with the reopening of Percival Pool, the town's public swimming attraction.

Located at 20 Highland Ave., Berlin, Percival is Berlin's lone public swimming pool, with the town closing last year the Denmore, Dinda, Bittner Jr. Memorial Pool in East Berlin at 36 Wilcox Court.

That pool was closed due to staffing issues and expensive repairs necessary to upgrade the site, which was besieged with flagging attendance in recent years anyway.

Percival, meanwhile, will open for the summer from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
