The Town of Berlin is a finalist for the CivicPlus 'Extreme Website Makeover 2012' contest

The Town of Berlin is a finalist for the CivicPlus "Extreme Website Makeover 2012" contest. CivicPlus is the leading provider of government website and community engagement software, and is in its 10th edition of the contest.

This year, citizen participation and involvement will be a factor in determining the Grand Prize winners, so town officials would like to encourage citizens to go to http://civicplus.checkboxonline.com/Digital-Citizen-Engagement-Survey.aspx to nominate our community for a chance to win a free, interactive website.  A new CivicPlus website will serve as a beneficial tool for the entire community.  Citizens would be able to stay up-to-date on important news and events, complete online registrations and payments for services, and receive automatic notifications/alerts.

Finalists will have until 5 p.m. CDT on Friday, January 11 to gain as much citizen feedback and support as possible.  Winners will be notified by 5 p.m. CDT Monday, January 21. 

Grand Prize winners will receive:

• A Premium CivicPlus website with custom design, full development and three days of on-site training, for free
• The first two years of annual fees will be waived

 In addition to the Grand Prize, there will be runners-up chosen across the country that will receive a $5,000 discount towards their project development fees of a Premium CivicPlus website.

Berlin looks forward to our citizen commitment and appreciates their input promoting our town’s website for the "Extreme Website Makeover 2012" contest, provided by CivicPlus. The new website will enhance community engagement and communication between citizens and government.
