Bethel PD Will Hold Valentine's Day Edition Of 'Coffee With A Cop'

BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Police Department will hold a special "Coffee with a Cop" on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14.

Unlike previous editions which were hosted at coffee shops, this confab will be held at the Bethel Police Headquarters at 12 Judd Avenue, from 3-6 p.m.

There'll be coffee, chocolate, tours of the facility, and a meet and greet with K-9 Rebel.

"Coffee with a Cop" was launched in Hawthorne, CA in 2011 when officers from the Hawthorne Police Department were looking for ways to interact more successfully with the citizenry. Events are now held in all 50 states, and the program is one of the most successful of its kind in the country, according to the national group's website.
