Bethel Police Release Results of Distracted Driving Campaign

Police actively enforced laws that restrict distracted driving during the month of April.

BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Police Department has released the results of its participation in statewide Distracted Driving High Visibility campaign. Police statewide cracked down on distracted driving, including the use of handheld electronics, texting while driving and distracted driving. In total, 125 citations and arrests were made for various offenses, most commonly for using cell phones while driving.
