• Beloved Bethel Drive-In Serves Final Customers After Lease Was Not Renewed (patch.com) — A beloved piece of Bethel history has closed, as the Sycamore Drive-In served its final customers on Dec. 24 after the owners’ lease was not renewed. The 1948 landmark, famous for burgers, homemade root beer, and Cruise Nights, had become a multigenerational gathering spot. Owners thanked loyal customers and staff, marking the end of a 78-year local era.
