Bethel Police Station Over Budget: Report
Officials are working to trim the fat off the project and cut costs.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel police are still on schedule to move into their new home, but the project may come in just over budget, reports the News Times. Town officials are working to bring the costs of the project under its $13.5 million spending plan, stating it is not clear how far over its budget the project is as they work to trim costs.
Public Site and Building Committee Chairman Jon Menti told the publication that project officials have gotten the costs very close to the $13.5 million mark.
Officials continued to caution that while the project may be over budget, the project is still in its early stages and pricing could change.
