Farmers' Market and a Movie: The Makings of a Perfect Day

Good morning! It's going to be a great day, and just in case you're worried it won't be, here are a few things you can do to make your Thursday in Bethel and nearby.

Farmers' Market:
It's back again this week outside the Municipal Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine, with the same great food and crafts to be had.

Wreck-It Ralph: Stick around after the Farmer's Market and you'll be in just the right place for and outdoor showing of this hit 2012 kids' movie. (It's funny and surprisingly smart.) The film starts at dusk, but concessions and entertainment begin at 7:00 p.m.

Summer Craft Day: Come to the Children's Library for a fun craft-making project. From 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Why Not Go For A Hike?
Enjoy one of Bethel's fine hiking and walking trails, like the Enchanted Trail (entrance at Bennett Park.) The heat will be bearable tomorrow, but you may want to go early -- there's a slight chance of rain in the late afternoon.

A Prairie Home Companion: NPR legend Garrison Keillor and friends take the stage at Ives Park in Danbury. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.; tickets at the door are $30.
