After two 3-year-long trials, the first of which ended in a hung jury, a Bethel restaurant owner accused of raping two former employees escapes jail time. Antonio Fernandes has claimed he is innocent since being accused of the 2011 incidents by two of his former waitresses. Fernandes was the owner of Tonelli's Restaurant in downtown Bethel.
