Daniel Grosso, 71, of Bethel, died on Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was the husband of Janet Grosso.
He was born in Danbury, December 3, 1941, son of the late Rocco and Vera (Spinacci) Grosso. He was a lifelong Bethel resident and worked in the family business (Grosso Oil Company) most of his life. Daniel was a Police Commissioner of Bethel, and was former President of the Bethel Fish and Game. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, and was an avid sportsman, hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Terri Rotella of Bethel; two sons, Rocco Grosso and his wife Tamara, Julio Grosso and his wife Shelly all of Bethel; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Bethel, Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel.
The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
