Franc Property Also Needs a Name

While the community discussion focuses on what to do with the property, it also needs a name. Suggestions?

One of the first priorities once the final rules and uses for the Franc property are established will be restoring the hiking trails and putting up appropriate signage.

But with the signage, the property will need an official name.

“Franc Park” is a likely candidate, according to Franc Property Land Use Committee member and Bethel Land Use Department staffer Beth Cavagna, named after the Franc family that farmed the 72-acre property until it was purchased by the town last year.

The final decision on the name goes to the Board of Selectmen.

What do you think? Is Franc Park or Franc Property a good name? Is there another well-known name for the area?
