Free Family Festival in Newtown Saturday Benefits Late Sandy Hook Student's Animal Sanctuary
Bethel-based DAWS will be on hand for pet adoptions at the event which benefits the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary.
NEWTOWN, Conn. — A free family festival is being held Saturday, June 4 on the Fairfield Hills campus, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, to benefit the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary.
The event takes place from 12 - 5 p.m. and features animal adoptions with 11 animal rescues, including the Danbury Animal Welfare Society, birds of prey, pet training demonstrations, Audubon Center at Bent of the River, Animal Embassy, Magic Wings exhibits, live entertainment, food trucks, hands on activities for all ages and more.
For the second year in a row, Blue Buffalo is the lead sponsor of Catherine’s Butterfly Party. The Wilton-based company is known for their generous contributions to shelters and rescue groups across the country.
