BETHEL, CT — Bethel police arrested a 42-year-old Newtown man after a 13-year-old reported him when he asked her to get in his car in downtown Bethel, police said. The girl told police that the man, Robert Lee, Jr., 42, of Dodgingtown Road in Newtown, asked the girl for directions to a coffee shop. She told police he came back a little while later and asked for directions to the cinema and asked her to get in the car.
Police said the teen was able to get the license plate number and report the incident. Lee was subsequently arrested on Sept. 13, 2016 for risk of injury to a child and impairing the morals of a child. Police said Lee later told them that he wanted her to accompany him to the theater and, if she agreed, he would let him kiss her.
