Neighbors Urge Caution on Sharp Curve in Bethel: Report
A man who evaded police crashed on the curve Sunday night.

BETHEL, CT — In interviews with the News Times, Reservoir Street neighbors urged drivers to slow down on the sharp curve on Reservoir street after a man who was evading police crashed into a cherry tree Sunday night. Resident Aurora Daley told the publication that she thought a car struck her house with Jemar King, 36, of Waterbury crashed into a cherry tree at the edge of her yard.
King fled the scene of the crash, and turned himself into Danbury police on Monday. Daley told the paper that there have been a half-dozen crashes on the street near her house since Christmas, and that her family has begun using Facebook Live to catch speeders.
Daley and other neighbors disputed comments from Bethel Police Lt. Richard Dickinson, who said there have been 10 crashes at the curve since 2013.
