Obituary: John Somoskovec, 92, of Bethel

BETHEL, CT — John Somoskovec, 92, of Bethel formerly of Stratford, retiree of Sikorsky Aircraft, husband of Concetta Somoskovec, father of John Somoskovec, Robert Somoskovec, Linda Gasper and the late Gary Somoskovec, sister of Sophie Rogers, grandfather of James Van Campen, Alicia Van Campen, Tyler Somoskovec and Cody Somoskovec , great grandfather of Francine Van Campen, brother in law and uncle, died on Friday at Regional Hospice of Western CT Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Danbury. The Rite of Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 74 Joes Hill Road, Danbury. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. The family will receive friends at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church on Tuedsay, August 1, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Contributions in Mr. Somoskovec's memory may be made to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, The Catherine V.
