• Bethel felon had stolen firearm hidden in Chestnut Street home, police say (newstimes.com) — Bethel police say a local resident is facing multiple charges after officers found a loaded stolen firearm in his Chestnut Street apartment and later discovered drugs, cash, and weapons in his vehicle. The man, a convicted felon, was arrested following a search warrant and traffic stop, released on bond, and is due in Danbury Superior Court later this month.

Shelton PD just joined this select group after years of work on accountability, best practices, and dual state and national accreditation standards focused on community safety and trust.
